Recently, Professor Jiao Hao of our School, as the first author, co-authored with Cui Yu and Zhang Yamin of Minzu University of China, the paper Digital Infrastructure Construction and Attracting Highly Skilled Entrepreneurial Talents in Cities was published in the 12th issue of Economic Research 2023.

Entrepreneurship plays a significant role in promoting the vitality of economic development and how to attract highly skilled entrepreneurial talents to carry out entrepreneurial activities in the city through effective means is worthy of in-depth study.Based on the micro-level data of highly skilled entrepreneurs and the city-level data of 285 prefecture-level cities in the dynamic monitoring survey data of China's floating population from 2011 to 2018, this paper constructs balanced panel data, and considers the pilot policy of "Broadband China" as a quasi-natural experiment. The progressive differential model is used to estimate the impact of the pilot policy on attracting high-skilled entrepreneurial talents from outside the city.The study finds that the "Broadband China" pilot policy significantly increases the attractiveness of cities to high-skilled migrant entrepreneurs. The path analysis shows that the "Broadband China" pilot policy can enhance the city's attractiveness to foreign high-skilled entrepreneurial talents by stimulating digital entrepreneurial resources.After a series of robustness tests, the conclusion of this paper is still valid. The conclusions of this paper provide empirical evidence and policy reference for understanding how to give full play to the driving effect of digital entrepreneurial resources in urban digital infrastructure construction, attract the inflow of highly skilled entrepreneurial talents from the floating population, and promote the high-quality development of local economy.

He is a Chief expert of major projects of the National Social Science Foundation, winner of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, author of highly cited papers of Elsevier Business Administration.He won the Huo Yingdong Education Foundation Award for Young Teachers in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, the second and third prizes of the Science Research Excellence Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, the first prize of the 17th Beijing Philosophy and Social Science Excellence Award, the Baogang Excellent Teacher Award, the China Management Science Award, the Beijing Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, and the Excellent Social Research of Young Teachers in Colleges and Universities in Beijing Project Award, the sixth China International "Internet +" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Beijing) Excellent mentor awards.
