Ⅰ. Program Advantages

 

1. Transcripts of MSU12 credits and half a year of study experience in the United States; 

 

2. Work in the world famous multinational company -- Disneyland with a paid job and obtained an internship certificate. Disney promised to give priority to be admitted as a regular employee of Shanghai Disney Company; 

 

3. Study, work and live in the United States for 6 months, and work closely with students from all over the world and Disney employees to deeply experience transnational culture and break the "bottleneck" in English learning; 

 

4. Interns enjoy the salary level of American University students and experience all the amusement facilities of Disneyland for free;  Opportunities to visit world-renowned universities and tourist attractions; 

 

5. Learn about the American higher education system and prepare for future postgraduate study/exchange in the United States.

 

 

 

1. Submit the application to the School before September 15, 2019; 

 

2. Complete the online registration of university of Montclair and Disney between September 23 an d September 30; 

 

3. Attend the American interview (Beijing) on October 17th.  

 

4. Complete the relevant procedures in going to the United States between November to December

 

5. Go to the United States for study and internship from February 7, 2020 to August 6, 2020.

 

 

. Project content 

 

1.  Main contents: 

Students of this program will study and practice in MSU and Disney. If they pass the assessment, they will receive 12 credits recognized by MSU, corresponding to the following 4 courses:

LITM201   Introduction to Leisure & Tourism.

 

MKTG 493  Special Topics in Marketing

 

LTM 490   Leisure and Tourism Internship

 

LITM 493   Special Topics in Leisure and Tourism

(1)Leadershipin Business

(2)Cross Culture Behavior and Management

During the training period, in addition to mSU-Disney professional courses, Disney will arrange hotel service, catering, equipment maintenance, tourist reception and other basic work in the amusement park and tourism industry for the students, and the students will gain extremely valuable working experience in Disney multinational company in the United States.

2.  Credit replacement rules: 

 

According to the regulations of the Academic Affairs Office of our university, if the score is qualified, the 12 credits will be recognized and included in the basic elective courses of the major discipline (the 12 credits are not allowed to replace all required courses and main courses).  And the actual names and grades of the four courses are directly recorded on the school transcript.

 

 

Iv. Project costs 

 

1.  $6500 per student (direct remittance to MSU) 

 

-Tuition fees charged by MSU on the basis of in-state student treatment for four professional courses 

 

- Accommodation, transportation and surrounding visit fee for 10 days in MSU 

 

- Round-trip ticket from NEWARK to Olando 

 

- MSU provides basic health insurance for all foreign students

 

2.  The following fees are for your own use 

 

 

 

- International travel and visa fees 

 

- Accommodation and tuition and fees 

 

- Other living expenses, etc

 

3.  Disney's Balance sheet 

 

- Disney will pay students for their actual working hours (no less than $10 / hour) once they start their internship. 

 

4. Students are responsible for their travel and safety in the United States. 

 

V. Enrollment target: Students in the second, third and fourth years of our college.  Students who are excellent in English will be given priority.
