On November 21st of 2015, the 2nd “New Jing Shi MBA Youth Leaders Forum” was held in Jing Shi Stadium. Co-organized by BNU Business School, BNU MBA Education Center and BNU MBA Student Union; the theme of this forum is “Internet+ Cross-border and Integration”. Hosted by Xinhua Finance Interview Program Chief Editor and BNU MBA off-campus tutor Lai Dongyang, over ten entrepreneurs, off-campus tutors and senior investors attended this forum with over 100 MBA students to discuss interesting topics such as current new economic forms and trends; to explore new paths for innovation and entrepreneurship, also to explore new opportunities and challenges of national economic development.
BNU Business School Dean Lai Desheng gave the opening speech, saying that this forum is aimed at exploring the new innovation source and history mission of the youth generation under the national economic development transformation background. “Internet +” will provide new platforms for mass entrepreneurship and innovation, also to promote the innovation and productivity of the Real Economy, form a broader New Normal economic development based on the internet.
Dean Lai also hoped that students could learn from elites of various fields through communication and inteaction; think deeply, understand the industry structure and development trend; also to display the BNU Business School scholar spirit and the BNU MBA New Era demeanour.
Educhina Education Group President Wang Wei is an successful cross-border entrepreneur, also an BNU alumnus. As the first guest speaker, he shared his experiences of 12 years of cross-border entrepreneurship. He emphysised that as an entrepreneur, the most important thing is the risk-taking spirt. He also hoped that everyone could contribute to China’s education through endevor and hard work.
The Executive Chairman of the Chinese Youth Innovation Industry Alliance, Mr. Yao Feng shared his understanding of “entrepreneurship” and necessary preparations. He believes that the “real” entrepreneurship is to allocate limited resources to the extreme extent. The core of entrepreneurship preparation is that you must know who you want to provide services for and what services to provide – this is the essential first step in entrepreneurship preparation.
Following after was the display section of the top five contestants of the Entrepreneurship Competition. Themed “Cross-border Entrepreneurship”, this competition is aimed at creating a financing platform for entrepreneurs, integrate resources and fulfill dreams. Receiving over 50 applications from various fields, the top five contestants were selected after fierce competition, including: Tian Mu Flying Fox, Infinite Closet, Nuo Bao Culture-and-Art-Education, Growing Tree and Seven Children. After the final display section, “Infinite Closet” became the grand winner, receiving virtual investments of 15.5 million Yuan.
The founder, president and CEO of genshuixue.com Mr. Chen Xiangdong gave a spech themed on “Interpretations of Internet+ Education Innovation and Entrepreneurship”. Mr. Chen Xiangdong shared aspects that require attention in internet entrepreneurship; from project selection, construcing the appropriate team, producing valuable products to promoting enterprise culture. In the end of his speech, Mr. Chen wished that all entrepreneurs could fufill their dreams.
As the host of the CCTV News Channel “24 Hour News” program, Ms. Zhang Xiaonan gave a themed speech on “The Qualities of Successful Entrepreneurs in the Eyes of Media Workers”. She emphasized that the common characteristics she observed in successful entrepreneurs include diligent, dedication and boldness. If a person can do one thing to the extent of perfection for a lifetime, then it must be a success, no matter what it is.
The final speaker was Prof. Zhong Wei, the Director of the BNU Financial Research Center. His theme was “Entrepreneurship and Wealth”. Prof. Zhong said that entrepreneurship is actually only about two things: the first thing is to explore uncharted territories; and the second thing is to create a simpler and better life – which is also its aim.
The main forum ended in the morning, and two sub-forums was held in the afternoon; which were “Internet + Health” and “Internet + Education”.
