On January the 20th of 2016, the 2016 BNU Education Operation and Management MBA Program Graduation Ceremony was held in Jing Shi Building Conference Hall. Invited guests include: Haidian District Education Committee Secretary Yin Lijun, Haidian District Education Committee Deputy Secretary & Deputy Director Du Rongzhen and Haidian District Education Committee Secretary Assistant, Haidian District Party School Vice President, Haidian District Primary and Secondary School Cadre Training Center Director Chen Yan as well as four other well-known educators. Hosted by BNU Business School Associate Dean Cui Xuegang, BNU Business School Dean Prof. Lai Desheng, Business School Branch Party Committee Secretary, also the Education Operation and Management Program Director Prof. Sun Zhijun and other 3 professors, doctorial tutors; BNU Business School Training Center lectures Huang Liangjin and other 6 teachers; as well as 22 BNU Education Operation and Management MBA Program 2016 graduates attended this ceremony. 2016 BNU Education Operation and Management MBA Program Graduation Ceremony
The BNU Education Operation and Management MBA Program is the first MBA program in this field customized for primary and secondary school cadre. This program is originated in 2012, under mutual effort of Beijing Normal University, Haidian District Education Committee as well as enthusiastic participants; which serves as a leading role and standardized example for the entire industry. Based on current understanding of education institutions’ management at all levels, through discussions and systemized professional courses; Beijing Normal University Business School established this program to extrude its advantages in MBA education. This program is aimed at promoting participants’ modern education operation and management concepts; increase their education creativity and innovation; enhance the innovative and practical management abilities of school cadres; further enhance their leadership and execution abilities of the organization and implementation of quality education; also to train participants in becoming excellent senior management experts in basic education. The establishment of the Education Operation and Management MBA Program is a milestone in the development of primary and secondary school education, which has profound realistic and long-term significances.
The opening speech of the 2016 BNU Education Operation and Management MBA Program Graduation Ceremony was given by BNU Business School Dean Lai Desheng. He began by expressing gratitude to officials from Haidian District Education Committee and praised the graduating students for their hard work and efforts, also encouraging them to become experts in their domain, which would make immeasurable contributions and cause grand influences contributing to the development of Haidian district, Beijing and even China’s education system. Dean Lai Desheng also mentioned that during international and national communication, many institutions and universities have expressed high approval of BNU Business School’s mode for the Education Operation and Management MBA Program; which is a cooperative cultivation program between BNU Business School and district government as well as district committee. As BNU Business School is currently preparing for EQUIS accreditation, this program in cooperation with Haidian District Education Committee is an important featured program of BNU Business School. Dean Lai Desheng expressed that he hopes all graduating students are able to apply what they have learned at BNU into their actual work; to transform the concepts, theories, knowledge, tools and methods that they’ve learned into education management and teaching methodology. Meanwhile, he also emphasized that the relationship between BNU Business School and graduated students is for a lifetime, hoping that they could support the development of Beijing Normal University and BNU Business School; as the university and business school will also support the growth and development of its graduates.

Haidian District Education Committee Secretary Yin Lijun congratulated the graduating students and expressed her gratitude towards Beijing Normal University as well as BNU Business School for the successful organization of this program. Combined with the “strive to provide education that the general public is satisfied with” policy proposed on the 18th Congress of China’s Communist Party, Secretary Yin introduced the aim, significance and participants of the BNU Education Operation and Management MBA Program. She emphasized that education should be provided from a broader perspective, with frontier concept and through more scientific methods. Ms. Yin praised BNU Business School’s Education Operation and Management MBA Program for its correspondence with modern school system construction, also conformance with deepening education and comprehensive reform. Ms. Yin said: “Through their MBA studies in Beijing Normal University, the participants have broadened their vision, are able to consider education problems under the macroscopic background of social economic development, also managed to free their minds and enhance systematic thinking.” She ended her speech by hoping graduates could follow three principles: apply their knowledge to actual work, increase innovation and creativity; promote cross-border thinking, maintain the fundamental principles of education; hold on to their dreams and enhance self-improvement.

Zhao Xin was selected as the student representative for the graduating Education Operation and Management class to give the graduation speech. She summarized the feelings of her class into three key words: “Gratitude”, “Memory” and “Expectation”. Then she thanked Beijing Normal University and the Haidian District Education Committee for the establishment of this program, which is a unique opportunity for them to become a student again and enhance self-development. Representing her class, she expressed that they will go back to their working positions with a new pursuit and dream, a stronger belief, recognition of education management,a passion for as well as profound thinking on education reform;so as to open a new chapter of their life as an educator.

After BNU Business School Associate Dean Prof. Cui Xuegang announced the names of the 22 Education Operation and Management MBA Program graduates, the students received their diplomas from BNU Business School Dean Prof. Lai Desheng, BNU Business School Sub-Branch Party Committee Secretary Prof. Sun Zhijun, Prof. Yuan Liansheng from the Accounting Department and Prof. Li Baoyuan from the Human Resources Department.

After the graduation ceremony, the newly graduated MBA students invited Haidian District Education Committee guests and BNU Business School professors to take a group photo at the Jing Shi Plaza. The exciting and joyful atmosphere was able to move everyone.
